Payload insights from every cycle, without interrupting operations
Conventional payload measurement on LHDs requires the machine to stop for several seconds with a loaded bucket. The operator must initiate the measurement and wait for the hydraulic pressure to stabilize. This interrupts the tramming cycle and means payload measurement depends heavily on operator interaction.
TALPA uses existing machine signals to estimate payload automatically during the regular LHD cycle. Hydraulic pressure signals from loaded and empty travel provide the basis for calculating the tonnage carried in the bucket.
No additional weighing stop is required. No operator interaction is needed for individual measurements
No Measurement Stops
Payload is estimated during normal machine operation.
Automatic Cycle-Level Measurement
Payload information can be generated automatically for each identified production cycle.
No Operator Interaction
Measurement does not depend on the operator initiating a weighing process.
Continuous Production Visibility
Cycle-level payload information provides the basis for tracking tonnage per cycle, shift and production area.
